Well, Lou Piniella is the National League Manager of the Year. I am pleased with the award for Lou. More importantly, I feel that Lou has taught the players on this team how to win. He’s taken a team that won only 66 games in 2006 and made the playoffs two consecutive seasons. This past season his club won 97 games. Now Lou must teach the Cubs how to win in the playoffs. The last two years the Cubs have been swept out of the playoffs. As a Cubs fan it’s a bittersweet feeling. Winning all season long and then getting swept out of the post-season in 3 games. Here’s hoping that Lou wins the award again next year and that he’s wearing a new World Series Championship ring!
